Barn Angels Composting is a founder led Ontario company providing compassionate, professional, and environmentally responsible animal aftercare services for all species.

We support families, farms, veterinary clinics, rescues, sanctuaries, municipalities, and animal care professionals during some of the most difficult moments they face. Whether the call involves a beloved family companion, a horse, livestock, wildlife, exotics, or specialty species, every animal in our care is treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism.

Barn Angels was built on the belief that aftercare should never feel cold, confusing, or transactional. When an animal passes, the people who loved and cared for them deserve clear guidance, reliable service, and a team that understands the emotional weight of that moment.

Barn Angels was founded by people who have spent their lives around animals, farms, rescue work, and the realities of animal care. Our founders are animal lovers and advocates first, with firsthand experience caring for animals of all sizes, species, and circumstances.

Before Barn Angels, our founders owned and operated a rescue dog shelter with more than 45 dogs in care at any given time. They have also owned and cared for several horses, including rescues, and have spent years supporting animals through every stage of life. That experience gave them a deep understanding of the bond between people and animals, as well as the responsibility that comes with caring for them.

Our founders understood firsthand that when an animal passes, families and professionals need more than a pickup service. They need guidance, compassion, reliability, and respect.

Before Barn Angels, many families were left with limited options and very little support during some of the hardest moments they would face. Veterinary teams needed an aftercare provider they could trust to represent their clinic with professionalism and care. Farms, rescues, sanctuaries, and municipalities needed a dependable team that understood both the emotional side of loss and the practical responsibilities that come with animal aftercare.

Barn Angels was created to fill that gap.

From the beginning, our founders built the company with a hands on approach. They answered the calls, attended the pickups, worked directly with families and veterinarians, and developed the systems needed to provide a higher standard of service across Ontario. That experience shaped the heart of Barn Angels and continues to guide how we operate today.

Even as the company has grown, Barn Angels remains founder led and deeply connected to the communities we serve. We are animal people, farm people, and service people. We understand the bond between people and their animals, and we understand the trust being placed in us during end of life moments.

Through our composting program, finished soil is used to support conservation and restoration projects. We are also committed to planting a tree for every animal we pick up, creating something meaningful from loss while contributing to healthier forests, stronger ecosystems, and a more sustainable future.
